Bob and Dave's Story

Bob and Dave met when their sons were in Cub Scouts and beginning their musical collaboration in 2007 by performing at local events.  They each bring over 40 years of experience with a wide range of music.  Their sweet spot is music from the era when they grew up--especially well known standards from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.  They’ve developed their own style employing unique arrangements and a personal touch to each song.

The music they play appeals to a wide range of ages and musical preferences, orchestrated with Bob on Guitar, Dave on Fiddle and Mandolin, complete with lead vocals and harmonies.  Their music is enjoyed at area festivals and events, senior centers, restaurants, private parties, and occasionally at the Fairfield University Bookstore in downtown Fairfield.

Bob's Story

Bob started playing folk guitar in the sixties and has expanded his playing into all styles of music both electric and acoustic over the years.  He’s been in various Rock, Country, Bluegrass, and wedding bands ever since, and finds that being half of an acoustic duo that blends all those styles is both more challenging and rewarding than being part of a larger ensemble

Dave's Story

Dave sang and played fiddle in "Tin Can Alley", adding mandolin with "Bobby & the Beer Cans" and the "Mill River Band" before joining Bob.  Dave has sung with church choirs in New Haven and Fairfield Counties, and his favorite musical styles include swing, country, bossa nova, western swing, jazz, rock, and songs from the fifties, sixties and seventies.
